People kanekes or bedouin/beduin is a group of indigenous people in the sunda lebak, Banten. Their population is arround 5000 to 8000 people and they are the one of the ethnic who apply isolation from the outside world. in addition, they also have the convidence taboo to the photographed.
the term "bedouin" is the designation given by residents outside community groups, the term originated from the dutch researchers who seem to equate them with badawi arabian ethnic who are sedentary sociates (nomaden).
another possibility is that the river and mountain bedouin in the northern part of the region. usually the bedouin is called themselves as urang kanekes or kanekes. corresponds to the name of territory, or a term that refers to the name of their village as urang cibeo.
they live on the foot of the kendeng mount with an attitude of 300-600 m above sea level. their language is a dialect of sundanese. to communicate with people outside of their current use indonesian language, although they do not get that knowledge from school.
